| Yeah, I feel like this sometimes. I don't look like this, however. Yet. |
Assessment
Days 20 (Tuesday) - A good day. Spent time with Kristi watching Southpaw, a more realistic 'Rocky' for modern days, with a great performance from Jake Gyllenhaal. Some coaching, of course. Gave a speech at my TM club - giving a new twist to a worn out old motivational tale. Didn't record it though - it was a fun exercise, but nothing beyond that, really. Was good on my eating plan, and didn't have anything to eat (or a shake to drink - no loopholes here) with the movie.
The lesson in Southpaw seemed to center around anger control - that his inner rage was both his strength in the ring and his ultimate downfall in the world, and he had to learn to take a 'defensive driver' approach to life. Not tentative, but prepared. Planned, not haphazard.
A good lesson for all of us - our passion is important, and becomes more valuable when tempered and controlled.
The other lesson? I really want to look like that - or like Tom Cruise from the last movie I saw...two whole days ago.
Bonus lesson - maybe I'm seeing too many movies.
A Quick Look at my Goals Breakout
Weight, Food, Workouts
Day 1 starting weight - 216.0 - two bratwurst, one piece pepperoni pizza, one Monster, Iced Tea, small lemonade, 2 puddings, small handful of Doritos. It adds up. The Morning Miracle stretching & Back Exercises for 15 (heretofore referred to as TMMsbe15).
Day 2-4 (today) weight - 216.0 up to 221.0, back down to 220. Bad eating, no TMMsbe15, no working out.
Day 5 - 220.0 - two King Soopers Fried Chicken Breasts, large Coldstone Creamery Ice Cream, Popcorn, Junior Mints, loaded potato burrito and soft taco from Taco Bell, no TMM, no workout.
Day 6 - 222 - steak, Butterfinger, something else bad. TMM workout, but no major workout.
Day 7 - 220 - steak, popcorn, Junior Mints, butterfinger cups, TMM workout, but no major workout
Day 8 - 218.8 - two bratwurst, 1/3 Costco chicken. TMM workout, but no major workout.
Day 9 & 10 - 216.8, 217.2 - two KFC chicken breasts, 1 double butterfingers, 2 loaded potato burritos on Day 9, Day 10 just the Barbecue, and then some Junior Mints and a couple Butterfinger cups at the movie. No popcorn, which I count as a victory.
Day 11, 12, 13 - off on Day 11, on on 12 & 13. Got back up to 220.8, then down to 216.8, then an adjustment, I guess, this morning. Haven't worked out, other than my stretches for the Morning Miracle, this entire challenge.
Day 14 - 218.8 two King Soopers Chicken Breasts, two, yep TWO, double size Butterfingers.
Day 15 - 217.2 two King Soopers Chicken Breast, three chocolate chip cookies, a little popcorn, one brownie, 4 tiny donuts, 1 riblet, 2 potato chips, 2 chocolate pretzels. Weird day.
Day 16 - 18 - does it even matter? I was good, I was bad, and sometimes it got ugly. Yesterday I starved myself so I could have a shake and popcorn at Mission Impossible.
Day 19 - 217.8 - two fried chicken breasts, one bbq'd hot dog (no bun or condiments), two bites of bbq'd chicken (no sauce)
Day 20 - 217.0 - two bratwurst, one chicken breast, not fried, 5 tortilla chips.
Day 21 (Today) - 216.6 - so three weeks in and I've lost NO weight. Sigh.
Day 27 Goal weight - 208 This is going to be a big challenge since I'm not getting any closer after 11 days... (My ultimate goal: 170 by Oct. 10)
