Challenge V - Days 12, 13, 14 - Stalling?

Assessment - Day 12-14 of 27 (Mon-Wed)

Busy week, and a week, until this morning (YAY!), of stalling on my weight loss, despite being good on my eating plan.

Stalling on my goals has been the norm, usually because my engine of goal activity has been clogged up by activity of necessity. Major paperwork yesterday in regards to health benefits pretty much blew out the day.

I've noticed that even though I'm successfully getting up early, doing Cross-Fit ever other day, and going through my Miracle Mornings (Silence, Affirmations, Visualizations, Journaling, Exercise, and Reading), that I get pretty tired by late afternoon and early evening. Part of it is I'm still going to bed late, usually, as Kristi isn't on my schedule, and often gets off work at 11:30 or after, and we have decompression time. Part of it is also that my eating plan usually involves me not eating after 2 or 3 in the afternoon. I need to remedy this - I need fuel, and my body might be hanging on to fat as a result, as well as pooping out so early.

I made an effort to address the stall on my speaking career this week, contacting Felicia Slattery, a friend and fellow speaking expert, and asking for some guidance. I've long been juggling 'Win Anyway' & 'Speak & Deliver' - that is speaking vs. coaching, unwilling to give up either, but unsure if I can effectively do both. I've hung on tighter to the coaching, as that's my primary form of income. She encouraged me to take steps forward on Win Anyway, and suggested that I CAN do both, and they can even feed into each other if presented correctly.

Now, this is probably the same advice I would have given myself. But I don't always listen to myself. And we all need outside advice and validation once in awhile, even if we're living a Win Anyway Life.

In combination with that conversation, I watched Lisa Braithwaite's (another friend and speaking expert) Periscope where she talked about taking action - and walked her talk by actually taking action (doing a Periscope) as she talked about it.

My biggest obstacle remains a combination of my own doubts and the crazy life of being the parent of six kids, half with major medical issues. But really, shouldn't that be my greatest driver PAST my obstacles, as well? Maybe I'll address that tomorrow.

Closing Comments

I'm still feeling optimistic. Stalls will happen. With the weight, I just I just needed to keep pushing and be patient. With my speaking, I think bringing in some other opinions was a great spark.

Win Anyway.
