After two weeks of Cross-Fit, I went back to Planet Fitness today - the first time through their doors in over a month. (I'm still Mayor, though, which may just be an indictment of Swarm.) I'm not quitting Cross-Fit, but I had and off-day, and wanted to see what progress I'd made. I did my typical 30 minute workout, and it wasn't tough at all. I was able to up my weights on my butterfly and chest presses, and the hip abductions were easier than before. Clearly, Cross-Fit is working for me, and I can still use my other gym to augment.
I did go a little astray on the diet, but still lost .6 lbs today, so I can live with that.
Spent much of yesterday trying to write a speech for Toastmasters last night. Finally decided to mimic my blog post and talk about how to get out of a stall - Patience, Help, and Change. It went well, and I'll be reviewing the film today to see if I got any usable clips.
Shoutout, by the way, to Stephanie from my club, who says she actually reads this blog. If YOU do - let me know in the comments below, or on Facebook/Twitter!

Going to Planet Fitness helped me realize that even in just two short weeks, changing what I did, and having accountability, pushed me to a higher level. In addition to no longer hovering in the high 215s - 225s, I have more strength, both in my arms and legs, and in my core. What could YOU change up for awhile? I encourage a little Cross-Fit in your real life as well - you might be surprised at the results.
27 Days 'on Fire' Goals Review:
Goal - 195 lbs
Day 1 - 211
Start of Day 2 - 213 Went off diet, as outlined above. Steak, two KFC Chicken Breasts, M&M's, Snickers, stuffed potato burrito & some other one dollar spicy burrito from Taco Bell. I know - just horrible, especially after the good start, and the workout.

Days 2-6 - Got up to 218, down to 216.4 today....Day two is outlined above. Day three was chinese, with popcorn and a shake at the movies. Day four was pizza, ice cream & Twizzlers, Day five was bratwurst and chicken, today has been steak and chicken and three chocolate chip cookies.
Day 7 - 214.2 - Two Bratwurst, Two KFC chicken breasts, and then a major fail with 3 chocolate chip cookies, some popcorn. Which effected pretty bad this morning
Day 8 - 216.0 - beef strips and eggs, 1/2 Costco chicken, a handful of chips.
Day 9 - morning - 212.0 - which means the weight gain was a bit of a red herring. 2 pork chops, 2 KFC Fried Chicken Breasts, plus an hour of Cross Fit
Day 10 - 212 - 1/2 steak, pork chop, both grilled, chips (too many) and salsa
Day 11 - 211.4 - 1 1/4 bratwurst, 1/2 piece of pepperoni pizza, 1 double size Butterfingers Bar
Day 12 - (Today, Morning) - 209.4, probably due to basketball yesterday and Crossfit this morning. Steak & Eggs, 2 KFC Fried Chicken Breasts, Cool Whip
Day 13 - 209.8 - Steak Shish-ka-bob, 2 porkchops, Cool Whip
Day 14 - 209.0 - Steak & Eggs, 2 KFC Fried Chicken Breasts, Cool Whip. Crossfit again today
Day 15 - (Today, Morning) - 207.8 Finally a breakthrough. Lowest since October, 2014. Small flat steak with 2 eggs, Cool Whip, one King Soopers Fried Chicken Breast, 3 chocolate chip cookies, 3 Dark Chocolate Hershey Mini's, one handful of popcorn, one healthy version of a cheddar cheese cracker. (it was snack night at Toastmasters)
Day 16 - (Today, Morning) - 207.2 Fortunate, considering my sugar intake yesterday.
Goal - Website Revised - I've got someone I can call for help now, at least.

Goal - Speak & Deliver book ready for printing - Maybe I don't really want to do this book....
Goal - Schedule 25 speeches - Must get on phone. Monday. Must make a call list, this weekend.
Goal - Blog 3x week - No blogs yet this week. Still. But I have some ideas.
Goal - Periscope - Wow - I've gone a week without following up - I'm a little concerned with having something to say that is worth people's time. How silly is that?

Ancillary activities - None, really, beyond shuttling kids back and forth, going to the store for ice, and you know, living life. I guess I stepped up a little yesterday, with Kristi down with the Flu. I ended up dealing with the kids in the morning, getting them packed up and ready, brushing hair, etc., which isn't usually my thing. But it's a Dad thing, so it's no big deal.
Podcasts - I'm going to list what I listen to, both to provide you with some listening material, and to track how much time I'm spending on podcasts.
Day 8 - Garrett J White- Daily Fuel 31 Sam Crowley- Every Day is Saturday
Day 9 - Garrett J White - Daily Fuel 32
Days 10 & 11 - None
Day 12-14 - More Garrett J White, a little Hal Elrod, and Entrepreneur on Fire, and Sam Crowley as well. Still, not as much as I have been in the past
Day 15 - Garrett J. White, and a good Side Hustle Nation Podcast.
