Let's talk turkey, here, as they said in the old days. Why do I end up skipping days at a time? Is it because I'm so busy? Have I gone on vacation? Am I speaking in India, with no time whatsoever to get away? No. No. And No. It's always been, to this point at least, about one thing - my weight.
(editor's note - in case of Day 6, I got too busy. Had this post started this morning, then was gone all day working. Which is a good thing.)
When I last checked in, I was, as the challenge says - ON FIRE. Down to 210. I'd lost 8 lbs in 10 days. Do you know how long it takes to put that back on? 3 days. Not even three days of horrible eating - just two days off a bit, and then one depressed day going 'Ben & Jerry's, Pizza, Twizzlers' bad. My willingness to blog, and my ability to be ON FIRE ties in directly with my weight goals much more so with my work goals, as I've mentioned before.
And when my weight goals are failing, I'm just doing the minimum with my work goals. What I do, I do well, but my productivity suffers.
What I have done, healthwise, for the last 5 days now, is GET OFF CAFFEINE. It's been a long time since I've kicked this habit for any length of time. I tried to a couple weeks ago, and I mentioned a lack of support surrounding me. This time, my wife has ALSO gotten off caffeine for the last 5 days - I'm very proud of her, and her commitment has helped me tremendously.
I've also gone started my official regimen with DEFY! Crossfit - tomorrow will be a big test as I have a 6 am class scheduled, which finishes in time for me to take the last two kids starting school to school.
I believe yesterday and today I have gotten back into a groove, and am looking forward to future days.
27 Days 'on Fire' Goals Review:
Goal - 195 lbs
Day 1 - 211
Start of Day 2 - 213 Went off diet, as outlined above. Steak, two KFC Chicken Breasts, M&M's, Snickers, stuffed potato burrito & some other one dollar spicy burrito from Taco Bell. I know - just horrible, especially after the good start, and the workout.

Days 2-6 - Got up to 218, down to 216.4 today....Day two is outlined above. Day three was chinese, with popcorn and a shake at the movies. Day four was pizza, ice cream & Twizzlers, Day five was bratwurst and chicken, today has been steak and chicken and three chocolate chip cookies.
