Assessment - Day 18 (Sunday)
A pretty productive day yesterday, which included a good conversation with Kristi about our health plans.
While we've been on the same page about methodology, our implementation hasn't been in concert, and we've worked against each other to a degree. We talked about the best ways to hold each other accountable through encouragement when tested vs. scolding upon failure - something both of us have been guilty of.
Hoping it leads her (she's already maintained a 110 lb weight loss for a couple years, but wants to get the body back she had 2 years ago via kickboxing) to more exercise and less Ranch dressing stalls, and myself to greater consistency on low carb/no sugar, meaning no 'kind of good' eating (ie: Fried chicken, occasional chips, Cool Whip), but completely good eating, to match my renewed commitment to working out either at Planet Fitness or with Cross-Fit. I full intend to either lose 30 lbs in Sept and/OR fit into my size 34's by October.
In addition, we've agreed to only step on the scale every Tuesday Morning - starting Sept. 1. A major step forward to taking a step backward, off the obsessiveness of numbers vs. feelings and body shaping. I will continue my food journal in this blog.
With Challenge V 2/3 complete, it seems I'm on the same trajectory as other Challenges - an even, non-progressive trajectory. I have 9 days to change that.

Goal - Schedule 25 speeches - Must create call list
Ancillary activities - Took & picked up daughter from work. Declared it a non-electronics day after noon. While I didn't interact with the kids as much as I'd hoped, they did a great job of reading, drawing, biking, and playing Pokemon the old fashioned way - with cards. Wrote my newsletter for my Professional Presenter's club, as well as the above-mentioned blog piece. And enjoyed time with my wife at Jurassic World (which is my 2nd time, and a topic I'll be Periscoping about later today)
Podcasts - I'm going to list what I listen to, both to provide you with some listening material, and to track how much time I'm spending on podcasts.
