Challenge IV - Day 8 - Building Momentum and Catching Air


Assessment 

Day 8 - A productive day - coaching, cleaning, tying up several paperwork loose ends, handling Toastmasters for the evening, getting in my 'Morning Miracle' routine, and staying perfectly good on my eating plan for the first time in weeks - no popcorn, no candy, no chips, just protein.

I've had a great deal of momentum going for the last 36 hours, which I look forward to carrying into today. Momentum is a bit of a tricky concept - doesn't take more than a few bumps or sudden turns to cause us to hit the brakes, or stop altogether. I know that's been a major challenge for me. But if we get enough speed going, slowing down won't affect our overall performance, and stopping will be less likely. Upgrade our emotional shocks, and those bumps may send us airborne, but we'll still come down to the road in good shape. By not allowing the tread on our goals get too old, we'll keep our traction on those sudden turns life throws at us, without needed to stop.

Day 8 - No Progress.

Weight, Food, Workouts
Day 1 starting weight - 216.0 - two bratwurst, one piece pepperoni pizza, one Monster, Iced Tea, small lemonade, 2 puddings, small handful of Doritos. It adds up. The Morning Miracle stretching & Back Exercises for 15 (heretofore referred to as TMMsbe15).
Day 2-4 (today) weight - 216.0 up to 221.0, back down to 220. Bad eating, no TMMsbe15, no working out.
Day 5 - 220.0 - two King Soopers Fried Chicken Breasts, large Coldstone Creamery Ice Cream, Popcorn, Junior Mints, loaded potato burrito and soft taco from Taco Bell, no TMM, no workout.
Day 6 - 222 - steak, Butterfinger, something else bad. TMM workout, but no major workout.
Day 7 - 220 - steak, popcorn, Junior Mints, butterfinger cups, TMM workout, but no major workout
Day 8 - 218.8 - two bratwurst, 1/3 Costco chicken. TMM workout, but no major workout.
Day 9 (today) - 216.8

Day 27 Goal weight - 200.0 (My ultimate goal: 170 by Oct. 10)
TMM goal - 27 Accomplished - 3
Workout goal - 15 Accomplished - 0
Eating Plan Days - 25 Accomplished - 1

Work Goals - NP
I need to add coaching in here - because, realistically, that's how I make my living, and what I spend a great deal of time doing - in person, on the phone/SKYPE, and editing.

- Speaking (speeches only) - 15 Accomplished - 2
- Podcast restarted - No Progress (NP)
- Newsletter restarted - NP
- keynote written - tried some new material/approaches at Rotary, filmed it for review
- Sizzle Reel developed - NP
- Website Revamped - NP
- 20 speaking opportunities booked through end of year. Accomplished - 0
- 2 more speaking clients. Accomplished - 0
- 14 blog posts in Speak & Deliver/Win Anyway. Accomplished - 0
